The MSA ALTAIR Single-Gas Detector provides dependable personal gas monitoring in a compact, rugged, and easy-to-use design. Its replaceable battery and sensor help extend the detector’s service life while reducing long-term ownership costs.

Attach it to a jump bag, belt, or protective clothing using the heavy-duty suspender clip. If unsafe gas levels are detected, the ALTAIR immediately warns the user through its distinctive triple-alarm system: two bright LEDs, a powerful 95 dB audible alarm, and a vibrating alarm.

Reliable, Low-Maintenance Protection

Under normal operating conditions, the ALTAIR can provide more than 12 months of continuous operation between battery changes. When the low-battery indicator activates, the standard CR2 lithium battery can be quickly replaced.

Its rubberized armor and IP67-rated housing provide dependable protection against impact, dust, and water, making the detector well suited for demanding industrial and emergency-response environments.

Greater Control When Needed

Although designed for straightforward, low-maintenance operation, the ALTAIR also supports testing, event monitoring, data collection, adjustable alarm set points, and manual calibration.

Using the built-in infrared communication port and an optional MSA infrared adapter, users can connect the detector to a computer for additional configuration and data access.
