The Hydra-Ram was tested by the FDNY’s Research & Development Division for 11 months in some of New York City’s busiest ladder and rescue companies. During the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Ladder Company 4 used the Hydra-Ram to force 109 doors in search and rescue operations.
